On this Roleplay site, there are multiple different types of threads that can do different things or allow for you to RP specifically who you want to RP with, or allow for furthering plot, and even help grow your character depending on their Ranking. Some of these may be combined together and some are heavily restricted, and I will go into full detail below with each of these to detail what is and isn't allowed within each and every one of them.
Open Thread:
The basic kind of thread you will find, it is any thread that does not have a tag beside of the title or one with the tag [OPEN] beside of it. These kinds of threads are allowing anyone who can enter to do so and RP with them, however they wish. With an Open Thread, you don't need to fear death or dying, as you will find yourself unable to die. Upon being knocked out, you are either allowed to stay in the thread unconscious, or you leave the thread and an unharmed but unconscious person. This thread is mainly for plot and meeting other people's characters. Be it for training, protecting people, keeping the peace and so forth. You can do whatever you want within the reasonable guidelines. No killing Player Characters (PCs) or fatally wounding them, and don't cause to much damage. If you do deal to much damage, it can lead to a CIP Thread, which is further down this list.

Private/Invite Thread:
Now these are the second most common thread type in RP with the tag of [Private: *INSERT NAME HERE*] or [Invite], and are designed specifically so that someone they tag, or ask to join may do so, but no one else. If you want to join this, you need to ask for permission from the owners of the thread to do so. Otherwise you aren't allowed. Other than this, this thread works basically the same to the one above, and has the same rules and limits on it. However, Private Threads can evolve into a Private Showdown (PS) Thread, which is explained later down below.
EX: Welcome to San Fransisco [Private: Rebecca]
Solo/Monologue Thread:
A basic plot thread that is used by people to develop character plot, or to further something person to their character. These are 100% free flow and are yours to decide, but have the restriction of needing to not be absurd. PCs cannot be in Solo, only the person making it, and the person making it cannot include other PCs. He may mention them, but not include them in it. Solos can also be used for the Aptitude tests for the police if it permits it, but otherwise these have no function besides basic RP. Skills/Abilities are not limited in these types of threads.
EX: Welcome to San Fransisco [SOLO]
Crime In Progress Thread:
What some might call a "Death Enabled Thread" or a "Encounter Thread", this is the thread all people should fear. CIP Threads are threads where any character in the thread can have the off chance of dying or becoming permanently injured. These are massive crimes where cities are being attacked, mass robberies are happening, or even murders. These are automatically opened when any thread becomes to dangerous or destruction happy, and has the off chance of killing everyone inside. Whenever a thread turns into one of the these, everyone in the thread is allowed to have their next turn as a free escape, but if they wait any turns after that to run, they must make an attempt. Attempting can be stopped by anyone, if only if the character is ignored enough for one turn of posts can they leave. in CIP Threads, all surviving members get one point towards their next OP rank to show they had the skill to develop in the thread, but any threads found to be not dangerous or fight happy enough can have their CIP tag taken away. You can start a CIP thread at any time, but anyone may join said thread so planning is advised. Due to the danger of these threads, there is a rule designed to save your character at least once per this thread type. This is called the Super Human Protection Program. Upon being disorientated or knocked unconscious, you may ask a mod to forcably remove you from the thread in a safe manner once. If this happens, you get the normal rewards, but all Villains brought in this way are captured by the police. Police that experience this are also under the Civilian Republic's custody.
EX: Welcome to San Francisco [CIP]
Private Showdown Thread:
When two rival Civs or Freaks (or even against each other), they may make a private challenge to the death. This would be a private thread only enter-able by those permitted, and would be a death level thread where the two participating may make whatever rules to the combat as they wish. In the end, it only ends once either one of the members is dead, or if they flee/exit. All death level thread rules count towards this, plus any new ones added on. However, due to the private nature of these threads, you may not ask a mod to save you from the dangers. This is a severely dangerous thread type, and is only for the truly pissed rivaling heroes and villains out there.
EX: Welcome to San Francisco [PS]
Report Threads:
A special style of thread designed specifically for Mod use to make plot based threads that may or may not effect the overall story of the site. These are made by Mods, and work sorta like Chronicle Threads below, though with only mod inclusion, as well as those allowed or required to be included. These are very different and thus are specific to each other.
EX: Welcome to San Francisco [REPORT]
Chronicle Thread:
These are site changing events that only mods can start. CIP Threads that start is tandem and all have a similar plot point, based around something happening that can change the entire plot of the site, or change entire characters like it is nothing. These have to be handled by mods and are a rarity to happen, but once completed, all people who survived and did not perish gain 3 points to their next OP rank, as well as an Ability/Skill they are allowed to make. These will be elaborated on when each Chronicle starts, as every one of them has separate rules.
