Character Name: Elias Walker
Alias: Jester
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Species: Human
Ethnicity: African-American
Appearance:
Faction: Civ (Natural Born)
Personality: Elias is actually fairly friendly, helpful, and caring despite his appearance. He is always ready to help those in need whether they want it or not, but no longer believes in the system. He has found out how mistreated Civs have become and hate what’s been done to create Freaks. He has vowed to one day put an end to this corruption and discrimination. He is more cautious however, since everyone he meets in his New York City usually reports him. It wasn’t too bad, but it was enough that he had to move to a different state just to avoid the risk of capture. What Elias hates most of all are the evil Civs that harm others. The misuse of their power causes harm to not only innocent, but to the innocent superhuman that are just trying to live normal lives.
History: Elias was never aware of his powers until he was an adult. When he was 20 years old he joined the police force, following in his father’s footsteps, and was tasked with a squad to take on Civs and break them to justice. He was raised into believing that they were all a threat, not knowing his father was one of them until he reached the age of 18. He was only close around detained Civs who had their powers nullified and in the field was firing at them with guns from a distance. He never dared to go up close and personal with them. He thought what the government was doing was right, after all, superhuman citizens meant superhuman criminals right?
One day, Elias was on a very important mission with his squadron. A Civ with high level superhuman strength had initiated a terrorist attack in a section of New York City. He had a small group with him, but they weren’t as dangerous as him. This was the most powerful superhuman they had ever faced before. They went to take him on, as they couldn’t get backup due to the evacuation process and the handling of the lower level Civs. Elias moved in, but none of them stood a chance. Before he knew it, it was just him and his captain left. It was a slaughter. The leader of his squad was immobilized after his spine was snapped by the attacker. The superhuman was moving in to finish him off.
Elias instinctively moved in, jumping onto the terrorist. However, the moment he made contact with him was when he discovered that he truly was different. In an instant, he had become just as strong as his adversary and defeated him with his bare fists, nearly killing him. Elias had saved the day. Or so he thought. When they got back to the station, he believed that he was going to get praised or some medal of honor. Instead he got dirty looks, derogatory names shouted at him, discrimination, you name it. When he met with the Commissioner, he had two options: Become a Freak and basically become a slave for the police force, or resign and must be detained if they ever saw him again. It was considered cutting him some slack for all the service he had already done.
In disbelief, Elias resigned from the Law Enforcement and was treated like an outcast to people that he thought were his friends. He had become the very thing that he thought was evil. Over the next four years, he quickly realized how wrong he had been and saw world in a new light.
Ranking: Lower Class Rank 1
Familia Powers:
Father - Freak: Adaptation
Mother - None
Super Power
Power Mimicry: Elias is able to copy an individual’s powers based on touch, intuitively figuring out what their powers are. This is a big advantage, but also has its drawbacks. Copying an individual’s powers also means he gets the power's weaknesses as well. In addition to this, depending on what power he copies he may not be able to control it very well. For example, if he copies Super Speed, he may accidentally go too fast too quickly, ending up somewhere else. He can only copy one person’s powers at a time. This also means that he is powerless if there are no superhumans to copy abilities from and is reduced to a mere man slightly above the average brawler.
Staring Skill Name: Elias is able to use whatever starter ability he is mimicking.
